Tom Hooper is an amazing graphics programmer, creating hypnotic loopable GIF renderings of his work. He wanted to upload a video clip of one of his projects and kindly asked me to do the sound design to accompany it. Originally the audio and video of the 32-second clip looped seamlessly, though unfortunately we discovered that when uploaded to various different social media platforms, unlike with GIFs, small stutters or audio clicks were introduced when it repeated. As such, we decided to alter the audio to fade in/out at the beginning/end of the clip, to reduce the impact of the loop restarting.
